Paddled heart mug
Paddled heart mug
A new heart paddle I LOVE. First I carve the hearts into a wooden paddle then use said paddle to smack a cylinder of clay. Once the design is transferred to the clay I stretch it from the inside into shape. Paddling clay takes some trial and error but the heart design is finally working and looking good!

What to expect
For classes, you will get two 1 lb balls of clay one of which will get glazed and fired. If you love both pieces, you can glaze the second for an extra $15

When can I pick up my finished work
Your work will be done 4 weeks after your class. It takes time for pieces to be fired, painted and fired again.
Can you promise my pottery will survive the kiln?
Unfortunately sometimes pieces are lost during firing. We will do everything we can to protect your pottery but cannot guarantee its survival.
Can I wheel throw with long nails?
Chances are slim. You might want to stick to hand building!
